The SG 15 light grid is comprised of transmitter and receiver strips. It is a TÜV certified item of electro-sensitive protective equipment for doors and gates and complies to the EN 12453 standard. As an e-device, it can be used as an unattended security device for motorised doors and gates.
Parallel light beams create a closely knit grid to detect heights of up to 1800 mm, 2160 mm and 2520 mm. Two beam patterns are available: C1 (45 mm spacing from end-to-end); and D1 (45 mm spacing to a height of 1035 mm, thereafter 180 mm). Fully automated signal tracking (AST) ensures the system is able to adapt to changing operational conditions. During gate closing, the intelligent SG 15 is able to differentiate whether dynamic beam disruptions are from the gate itself or from a foreign object. The transmitter and receiver have been tested to comply with the requirements of EN 12978.
